The Chamber of Commerce of Lake Station was established in 1955 by group of local business owners. Those business owners felt the need to strengthen the business community by joining forces to create one-voice system that could handle issues that may involve their business due to politics, the environment, economy and/or community.
Over the last 55 years, the Chamber has been very active in addressing many of the aforementioned issues, along with spearheading many economic projects (Brochures, City Maps, Industrial site locations) to generate growth and encourage new businesses, both small and large.
The chamber has also hosted Festivals, the 4th July Parade, Prayer Breakfast and many other events to draw the public within and outside our community to support our local businesses.
Now, more than ever, it is important to join and be part of the Chamber. Through your membership and involvement, the Chamber can be a force with your participation and input. We can educate the public about the importance of “Shopping Lake Station First”!

The Lake Station Chamber of Commerce will champion issues facing businesses, focusing on the improvement of the quality of life in our community: and be a team consisting of volunteer Board of Directors and community and busines members, providing a catalyst for prosperity and growth!
